Key Academic Regulations
- Examinations must be taken and passed in the academic year and at the university specified in the programme of study.
- Students will complete their dissertation with two supervisors, one from each university. Students must comply with the dissertation procedures and deadlines of both institutions. Each university will assess the final thesis according to its own criteria.
- Students taking part in this programme will be required to defend their dissertations at Luiss in October/November and March/April. Please note that the July graduation session is not available to Luiss students taking part in this programme.
- At Nova, the only accepted format for the dissertations of students on the Dual Degree programme is “Directed Research”. Students will defend their theses at Nova solely during the September session.

- Students selected for a Double Degree programme are required to follow the curriculum established for their year of mobility, including any amendments, with particular regard to language courses and other academic activities.
- While making every effort to provide students with complete, accurate, and timely information, Luiss reserves the right to make changes or additions to the Programme, or to revoke it.
- Luiss is not responsible for any cancellations or changes resulting from events beyond its control. Should the Programme be cancelled or modified for these reasons, Luiss will promptly inform all students.

International Experience: In line with Nova's internal regulations, applicants must provide supporting documentation in English that certifies previous experience of studying, working, or volunteering abroad for at least two consecutive months. The experience must have taken place both outside the applicant's country of citizenship and outside the country where they obtained their secondary school diploma. Eligible experiences include, but are not limited to:

English language certificates must not have been obtained more than two years before the start of the mobility period (1 September 2027). |
Selection Criteria (mobility year 2026/27)
Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be placed on the ranking list based on their academic record and the criteria set out in the table below. Academic records will be assessed based on the data available at the Student Administration Office by the deadline specified in the Call for Applications (usually mid-February).
