Features of the Programme | The QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) Master's Network is an international programme designed for outstanding students who wish to develop advanced skills in analysis, quantitative methods, and decision-making within a global academic context. Bringing together prestigious universities and corporate partners from around the world, the programme combines academic excellence with international experience, preparing students to tackle complex challenges in the fields of economics, finance, and management. As part of the programme, students have the opportunity to spend up to two semesters abroad at two different partner universities in the QTEM network, located in two different countries. Key academic regulations
To obtain the QTEM Certificate, students must:
- Participate in one or two international exchange periods (Track 1: one exchange / Track 2: two exchanges): students must successfully earn an average of at least 22 semi-quantitative or highly quantitative credits for each QTEM exchange period. Details of the courses offered by our partner universities can be found at the following link.
- Complete an internship in a quantitative field lasting at least 240 working hours: the submission and assessment of the internship will be managed via the QTEM intranet, using the Paperless Internship Manager (PIM). Further information will be provided to selected students through the QTEM Internship Handbook.
- As an internship is a mandatory requirement for obtaining the QTEM Certificate, QTEM and Luiss will provide support in finding available opportunities. However, students are solely responsible for identifying and securing a job or internship placement. Selection procedures are managed independently by the companies, and neither QTEM nor Luiss can be held responsible for the outcome of applications.
- Pass the QTEM Global Business Analytics Challenge (GBAC), which includes:
- two compulsory training courses: Data Presentation (soft skills) and Data Science (hard skills);
- the QTEM Data Challenge (QDC): a group project in which QTEM students are divided into international teams and work remotely to develop innovative solutions and recommendations for a company, analysing exclusive data provided by the company.
Complete one or more QTEM Modules:
A QTEM Module recognises a thematic or functional specialisation awarded to QTEM students who successfully complete at least 30 QTEM credits in courses within the same module during the two years of the QTEM Master's Network Programme. The QTEM Modules currently available are:- Finance and Accounting
- Data Science & AI
- Economics
- Management
- Sustainability
The modules completed will be listed on the QTEM certificate (max. 2)
Information about the dissertation
