The Luiss Master's Degree in Global Management and Politics, classified as LM-77, trains professionals who can combine managerial and political science skills to understand and guide complex decision-making processes in a global context that is constantly changing.
The course, taught entirely in English, takes an interdisciplinary approach that combines economics, management, political science, law, and history. The Programme thus enables students to explore in depth the relationships between businesses, public institutions, economic actors, and international organisations, developing a systemic view of the dynamics that influence markets, policies, and society.
The teaching combines analytical rigour with a focus on real-world issues. Students learn to interpret the political and institutional context, assess geopolitical and regulatory risks, and tackle the organisational challenges faced by international companies.
In line with the educational objectives of the LM-77 master's degree class, the course prepares professionals who are capable of:
- integrate management, economics, and political science tools into the analysis of global phenomena;
- understand the organisational and strategic dynamics of companies operating in international markets;
- analyse the relationships between companies, institutions, supranational organisations, and public and private stakeholders;
- interpret the effects of globalisation, regulatory transformations, and geopolitical changes on business decisions;
- address the ethical and sustainability dimensions linked to governance and business strategies;
- work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, communicating effectively in international professional settings.
The course trains individuals to take on managerial, consultancy, and policy roles in multinational companies, public institutions, international organisations, consultancy firms, NGOs, and think tanks.

With a strong focus on practical application, the Certificates enable students to gain specialised skills, engage with industry professionals, and delve deeper into methodologies and experiences gained across various professional settings. Upon completion of each Certificate, a notarised digital micro-credential is issued on the blockchain. This securely and verifiably attests to the skills acquired and can be shared on major professional profiles, enhancing one's educational background.

Semester I - Essentials
International Managerial Economics and Business: Managerial Economics
The course introduces the application of economic principles and methodologies to key managerial decisions in organisations, providing a better understanding of the global environment in which they operate.
International Managerial Economics and Business: International Business
The course aims to explain the rationale behind the process of internationalisation of companies, foreign expansion strategies, consequent organisational measures and the main management issues for operating internationally.
Global Organisation Design and HRM
The course explores the drivers of global organisation design and the role of human resource management. It focuses on contemporary issues in organisational design, the implications of 'open organising' and the context of global human resources management.
Financial Reporting and Performance Measurement
The course focuses on the use of financial statements for analysis and evaluation, to understand how to conduct financial analysis, appraise equity investments and write an equity research report.
Qualitative and Quantitative Methodologies for Social Sciences
The course offers an integrated introduction to the main methodological approaches of research in the social sciences, combining qualitative and quantitative tools for the analysis of complex political and social phenomena. The aim is to provide students with a sound theoretical and practical basis for designing, conducting and interpreting empirical research in real-world contexts.
Semester II - Major
Corporate Strategy
The course addresses the theoretical frameworks and models for formulating and implementing business strategies at the corporate level. Skills are developed to understand and analyse strategic decisions on industry, cost efficiency, resources, competitive advantage, growth strategy and digitalisation.
Global Politics
The course introduces the theoretical and analytical tools to manage the political aspect of global business. It also provides resources for analysing international relations.
Political Economy of Globalization
The course provides theoretical and methodological knowledge of international trade issues and policies. Particular emphasis is placed on the environmental impact of globalisation, especially in terms of pollution and climate change.
Business Ethics
The course focuses on the ethical justification of markets and ethical behaviour within businesses. Sustainability and stakeholder analysis form the core issues of the course.
International Trade Law
The course examines economic interactions between states and economic relations between states and non-governmental entities, providing an overview of the legal and institutional basis of international trade law governing foreign investment.

Global History
The course presents methods, theories and critiques of global history and analyses studies that have sought to understand global changes.
Cross-Cultural Management
The course introduces students to the fundamental issues of cross-cultural management, providing them with adequate knowledge and understanding of the impact of cultures on management and organisational behaviour.

Tuition fees
The single annual fee for enrolment in the first year of the Master’s Degree in Global Management and Politics for the 2027/2028 academic year is €16,000, payable in three instalments, plus the regional tax.
