On Thursday, May 4, 2017, starting at 9:00 a.m., the Luiss Career Services office is organizing the 21st edition of the career guidance day, “I Giovani e il Lavoro,” on the campus at Viale Romania, 32.

This event is for Luiss students and graduates who are interested in learning about, planning, and launching their professional careers in the corporate world. Participants will have the chance to meet HR managers from leading national and international companies and ask for information about professional career opportunities in a direct and informal setting.

The Career Day “Youth and Work” is a unique opportunity to engage with company representatives and guide your career choices. Attending the event is the perfect chance to explore various career opportunities in the industry, build or strengthen your professional network, and initiate contact for new professional opportunities. Throughout the day, participants will have the chance to learn more about the companies and submit their CVs.

Connecting with professionals requires proper preparation. Here are some tips to follow:

• It's crucial to research the companies participating in the event well in advance—through their websites and industry publications—gathering information on their history and key achievements, as well as understanding their areas of operation and organizational structure.
• Prepare a list of the companies you absolutely must meet with to make the best use of your time.
• Try to prepare specific questions to ask the various delegates
• Remember to bring several copies of your updated CV (in both Italian and English)
• Wear understated, formal attire
• Remember to make the most of the entire event
