Highlights
The Double Degree in Global Finance with the Fordham Gabelli School of Business is a challenging graduate program taught entirely in English, aimed at students currently enrolled in the Luiss Master’s Program in Economics and Finance, both first-year students and second-year students, with majors in Finance or in Banche e intermediari finanziari, and students enrolled in the first and second year of the Master's Program in Corporate Finance.
Students who complete the program will earn a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance or in Corporate Finance issued by Luiss University and a Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) issued by Fordham University.
This program, structured in a 7-week Summer Term in New York City (Summer Term 2026: from June to July , 2026, Exact dates will be confirmed), provides an in-depth look at global financial markets and risk, financing and capital-raising strategies, with intensive and challenging teaching methods and corporate visits to major corporates and institutions, such as Bloomberg, Citigroup, Ernst & Young, New York Exchange Stock, Federal Reserve Bank, among others. Selected students will have the chance to learn how to implement corporate objectives by using financial strategies, also practicing in small group sessions with top executives of industries such as HSBC, Moody's and Goldman Sachs. The School is located in the heart of Manhattan, a few steps from Wall Street. Students selected for this double degree will be registered at Luiss as well as at Fordham for the Summer Term 2026. The Fordham degree will be awarded after completing the Luiss program and defending the final thesis at Luiss.
The Double Degree in Global Finance with the Fordham Gabelli School of Business is a tuition-paying program. Fordham University will make financial aid available for the program and students are eligible to receive a scholarship grant from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business. This scholarship is valid for every student selected for the program and it will automatically reduce Fordham fees. The fees for the summer 2026 are $23,934.
Please note that tuition does not include living expenses. In addition to tuition and the health insurance fee, Fordham University also charges several student service fees, which for 2025 were $369 and included: $96 General Fee; $227 Technology fee; $46 International Student Services Fee. Books, which should cost less than $200 per course, and travel expenses are not included. Living expenses in New York are not included in tuition and fees. The Fordham International Student Office requires students a budget of about $5,000 for living expenses for their stay in New York. Students are encouraged to look for accommodation in Fordham dorms to avoid housing issues and fraud. As for Fordham on-campus housing, the dormitory fee for the 7-week stay in 2025 corresponded to $1,874.

Application process

Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Requirements (updated for the mobility year 2026-2027)
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements (to be confirmed):
- For first-year students of the Master’s program in Economics and Finance:
- cover at least 2 among their core courses by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application (usually mid-February)
- For second-year students of the Master’s program in Economics and Finance:
- students are required to cover at least 8 among their core courses by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application (usually mid-February)
- students must not have taken part in any international mobility program during their Master’s Degree
- For first-year students in the Master’s program in Corporate Finance:
- Students are required to register all first semester exams by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application (usually mid-February)
- For second-year students in the Master’s program in Corporate Finance:
- students are required to cover at least 8 among their core courses by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application (usually mid-february)
- students must not have taken part in any international mobility program during their Master’s Degree
- For all students (1st and 2nd year of the Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance, 1st and 2nd year of the Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance):
- a minimum average grade of B is required for the four transfer courses taken at Luiss to be transferred to the MSGF degree. The minimum accepted grade is B- (equal currently to a 21/30 in the Luiss grading scale) as long as the other transfer courses make the average grade stay above B
- students must possess at least a B2.4 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:
- TOEFL min. 75/120 IBT
- IELTS min. 6.5
- Duolingo min. 115
- Cambridge: CPE, CAE, FCE min. grade B

Candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance score, currently calculated according to the following criteria:

Registered ECTS credits: The academic score will take under consideration all registered credits valid towards one’s degree (excluding internships).
