LEED Certification - In 2016, the Viale Romania location earned LEED Existing Building certification, the voluntary sustainability protocol that focuses on the energy performance and management of existing buildings and is one of the world's most prestigious certifications for environmental quality. With a strong focus on boosting energy efficiency across all locations and adopting best practices to improve performance throughout the community, The Dome achieved LEED Platinum certification in 2022 following the completion of the new building at the Viale Romania location.

Green Metric - In 2023, the University climbed to 15th place globally in the World University GreenMetric ranking of the most sustainable universities, up from 19th place in 2022, and it ranks 2nd among Italian universities. In the “Energy and Climate Change” category of the ranking, Luiss climbed another position, becoming number one worldwide.
