Summer Educamp
To promote a better work-life balance and support parenting, Luiss organized the second Summer Educamp from June 27 to July 5, 2024.
Designed for the children of staff and faculty members aged 4 to 12, the summer camp primarily aimed to engage participants in experiences related to robotics, digital manufacturing, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and game design, as well as in activities dedicated to art, music, and play.
At the end of the Summer Educamp, a satisfaction survey was conducted, revealing that 83.7% of the parents who responded felt their children had enjoyed the experience “very much.” Overall, there was a high level of satisfaction with the service’s overall organization, the relationship between educators and children, and the ability to engage and entertain them.
Installation of feminine pad dispensers and baby changing tables in restrooms
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Luiss Gender Equality Plan, the University launched a partnership with This Unique in 2023. This start-up is owned by LUISS ALUMNI 4 GROWTH (LA4G) and was accelerated in 2021 by Lventure Group. The project involved installing automatic dispensers for biodegradable organic cotton pads in the restrooms across the three campuses. The goal was to raise awareness of gender issues, ensure peace of mind and attention to the needs of female students and the entire Luiss community, and foster a greater sense of inclusion. Additionally, in 2024, three changing tables were installed at the Viale Romania, Viale Pola, and Villa Heritz campuses.
