Italian, 1st semester 2026/2027

Starting on Friday, September 4th, and in any case in time for the first language lesson, a meeting invitation email will be sent to your Luiss email account (@studenti.luiss.it), specifying your group, the time, the course format, and the classroom where the course will take place.

Upon receiving the email, you will also be able to view your assigned language group in the Luiss App and in the class schedule

Midweek Italian

A required language for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs taught in English.

Classes (2 hours and 30 minutes, once a week) are held exclusively online on Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM or from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM (no preferences can be expressed). 

The first class will be held on Thursday, September 17, following the written and oral language assessment test scheduled for Thursday, September 10.

A class is scheduled to be launched, with in-person lessons held on Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Viale Romania campus. This class is reserved for those who need to prepare for the 30-point exam starting in the 2026/2027 winter session (December 2026 – January 2027).

The first class will be held on Wednesday, September 16.

Italian (elective)

This is an optional language course for those who have chosen to take it to earn credits for “Other Activities” or for those attending out of personal interest (without credits).

Classes (2 hours and 15 minutes, once a week) are held exclusively in person at the location in Via Parenzo on Saturday mornings, either from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM or from 11:15 AM to 1:30 PM (preferences cannot be expressed). The first lesson will be held on Saturday, September 19, following the written and oral language assessment test scheduled for Saturday, September 12.

Italian II semester - 2022/2023

Starting on Friday, February 3, in time for the first lecture, students will receive a convocation email to their Luiss name.surname@studenti.luiss.it —indicating their group, the schedule, the course delivery method, and the classroom where the course will be held.

Based on their assigned group, each student can find their instructor by checking the relevant lesson schedule.

Italian – midweek courses (held on Wednesdays) for students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs that include a mandatory language in their study plans

Lessons (2 hours and 30 minutes, once a week) are held exclusively online on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, or from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm (it is not possible to express any preference regarding the time slot). The first lesson will be held on Wednesday, February 8th.

Italian - midweek courses (held on Thursdays) for Incoming Salzburg - Double Degree students

Lessons (2 hours and 30 minutes, once a week) are held exclusively in person on the Viale Romania campus on Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The first lesson will be held on Thursday, February 9th.

Italian as an optional language course (held on Saturdays) for students enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or single-cycle degree program that includes a language course as an optional choice, and for students who take Italian for personal interest (no credits)

Lessons (2 hours and 15 minutes, once a week) are held exclusively in person at the Viale Romania campus on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:15 am, or from 11:15 am to 1:30 pm (time preferences cannot be accommodated). The first lesson will be held on Saturday, February 11th.
