Energy [ἐνέργεια]

Energy [ἐνέργεια]

Energia

Academic Year 2008/2009

We invite you to capture with a single shot that which, by definition, cannot be stopped, contained, or limited.
By now, you hear about energy every day and the countless ways it enhances our lives.
But if it’s true, as it is, that energy is everything, then embrace its myriad forms—less political, but certainly more poetic—those the news will never tell you about.
Indeed, every manifestation of nature is energy. Every heartbeat, every quiver, every surge, every burst. Think of the ocean's surging waves, as well as the slow movement of the roots of a centuries-old tree.
Consider also the ceaseless activity of humankind and the symbol of all its energy: the modern city.
Think about it and create a depiction of it.

The Jury, composed of:

  • Professor Marica Spalletta, who teaches “Theory and Techniques of Journalistic Language” (Bachelor's degree program in Political Science and Communication) and “Culture, Ethics, and Deontology of Communication” (Master's degree program in Government and Public Communication Sciences);
  • Mila Bianchi, a LUISS student;
  • Tommaso Jacopo Ulissi, LUISS Sustainable;
  • Dr. Barbara Scipioni, LUISS Cultural Activities Staff;

after evaluating all the entries, awards the photo:
