EU Challenge
The Luiss “EU Challenge” Project is presented by the Political Science Association (ASP) and is under the high patronage of the European Parliament. It was created with the aim of bringing students closer to the world of European institutions in an interactive and direct way. Now in its fourth edition, the project aims to explore the European legislative process through a hands-on simulation, guided and supervised by knowledgeable and specialized experts, in line with Luiss’s European and international mission. ASP and the European Parliament share the goal of involving as many students as possible in this project. Participation in the project will be limited to 80 students due to COVID-19 regulations, but we aim to increase that number starting with the next edition. Our primary goal is to enable students from all departments at Luiss Guido Carli to participate in the initiative.
In this third edition, the focus is on amending Regulation No. 2018/1999 concerning European and national governance of energy and climate. This choice stems from the growing importance of this topic in recent years and, more recently, within the context of the Green New Deal, the ambitious plan to make Europe carbon-neutral by 2050.
