Small Art Studio, 2017–2018 Academic Year
Images for haiku
The workshop offers a series of three sessions dedicated to these short, evocative Japanese poems. Using special paper, movable type, and tiny objects, the workshop will encourage a creative and artistic graphic representation of the verses.
Haiku, with its concise words and sensory language, captures a feeling, a moment of beauty. The poet captures a state of mind by drawing inspiration from the surrounding nature, the seasons, small everyday moments or gestures, and the present experience, transforming them into meditative moments of infinite tranquility.
