Art and the Environment

Arte e Ambiente

If you care about environmental sustainability issues and are (or have been) actively involved in ethical and social activities related to the topic—such as associations, volunteering, or promotional initiatives—please submit your request to participate in the International Art and Environment Workshop. The event will take place on March 1, 2014, starting at 10:00 AM in the multipurpose hall at the LUISS campus in Viale Romania.

The chosen theme will be presented through a screening of the documentary Ultima Chiamata, which addresses environmental sustainability issues. This will spark reflections and creative ideas to be put into practice in the classroom. The documentary screening, scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2014, at 6:00 PM in the multipurpose room at the LUISS campus on Viale Romania, is a prerequisite and therefore mandatory for participation in the workshop.

The activity will be conducted in English by Prof. Claudia Sbrissa, a visiting artist and lecturer at St John's University. She will challenge your artistic creativity by using recycled materials, as she has done in other international projects.

The completed projects will be showcased in an exhibition, and the resulting pieces will be donated to a volunteer organization supported by the LUISS student associations.

To register, please send an email to attivitaculturali@luiss.it  by February 21, 2014, including your full name, student ID number, cell phone number, and a brief description of your previous activities.

Participation is open to the first 30 registrants, in order of registration, who have a relevant profile.

Upon completion of the workshop, a certificate of attendance will be issued. This certificate can be used for resumes and is valuable for merit-based selection processes in the university’s competitive calls.
