- Identifying strengths,
- Consolidating the tools the student already possesses,
- Strengthening skills with a view to ongoing growth and learning.
The help desk will offer optional study method sessions open to all students. However, at least one session is mandatory for students with disabilities, learning disabilities, and special educational needs.

Procedure for requesting compensatory measures for students with learning disabilities and/or disabilities > 66%
Interested students must email their valid certification issued by the National Health Service to segreteria@luiss.it. The certification must include the full diagnosis, as required by Law No. 170 of 2010 and the subsequent State-Regions Agreement of July 24, 2012, along with a copy of their ID.
The SLD diagnosis must meet the criteria set by the Consensus Conference (2011), and it must include the nosographic codes, the explicit wording of the SLD, and all relevant information to understand each student's individual characteristics (strengths and weaknesses). Only certificates issued by the Italian National Health Service (SSN) facilities or by entities or professionals accredited by the Regions are valid.
If a student's certification dates back more than three calendar years, or if it was issued when the student was a minor, it will not be considered valid. Therefore, the candidate must request an update in accordance with the aforementioned regulations.
If the diagnosis was certified after the student turned 18, the certificate does not necessarily need to be renewed.
If the certification is in a foreign language, a sworn translation into Italian must be provided.
The Inclusion Service, in collaboration with the designated Commission and at its sole discretion, will assess the compensatory measures suitable for your support and notify you via email through a dedicated Agreement.
If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact the Inclusion Service at seitu@luiss.it.
Academic path
Students with learning disabilities (DSA) and other disabilities can access the Luiss Inclusivity and Tutoring Service, provided by professionals with experience in inclusive teaching.
After an initial introductory interview during which an agreement form is signed (Annex 1 a; b), the tutor and student work together to develop a support plan. This plan may change based on the needs that arise throughout the course of study.
The University ensures support during the learning phase and provides the necessary measures/tools for assessment, in line with current regulations and as directed by the Rector’s Delegate for Disability, Prof. Emiliana De Blasio.
