Master's in Development Economics and Policy

The Master's program aims to create a training course designed to develop professionals who are experts in the tools and methodologies needed to promote and advance the economic and social development of Southern Italy. Specifically, the aim is to provide knowledge and tools to: 

  • understand the institutional, legal, and economic framework of national and European public policies for the development of Southern Italy
  • learn the main methodologies of public policy analysis
  • develop, implement, and evaluate public policies for the economic development of Southern Italy, with a focus on intangible assets such as knowledge, research, development, education, and innovation
  • enhance knowledge of managing direct and indirect European funds by applying key project cycle management methodologies
  • enhance leadership, management, and communication skills 

The course is offered in collaboration with INVITALIA and also draws on the scientific expertise of the Observatory on Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in Southern Italy, established within the LUISS Lab of European Economics (LLEE) Research Center of the Department of Economics and Finance at LUISS Guido Carli. The Master's program is directed by:
