Instructional goals

The course aims to explore advanced topics of corporate finance dealing with; business valuation, relative valuation (multiples); capital market and the issuance of debt and equity securities; mergers and acquisitions; project financing; private debt and private equity; venture capital; corporate restructuring

Prerequisites

Knowledge of basic financial mathematics techniques; net present value, investment valuation models.

Intended learning outcomes

Students will be able to analyze current and future accounting data, evaluate the various financing solutions, build financial models to evaluate business plans and perfom company valuations.

Business analysis and valuation. Discounted cash-flow tecniques. Relative valuation (multiples). Capital market and the issuance of debt and equity securities. Mergers and acquisitions. Project financing. Private debt and private Equity. Venture capital. Corporate restructuring

Assessment Method

The valuation will be carried out according to the principles of continous assessment with business cases during the course and a final exam. exams and a final exam - The first intermediate test will take place on October 5 with a 20% weight on the overall grade; the second test is scheduled for November 16, with a 30% weight on the overall grade. The final exam will have a 50% weight on the overall grade.
