Register to a single course
Each year, you can enrol in one or more university courses that interest you, attend lectures for a full year or a semester, and take the final exam.
The individual courses are aimed at those who:
- want to update and expand their professional skills;
- hold a degree or are currently enrolled on a Bachelor's, Master's, or Single-Cycle Master's programme and need to pass additional exams for admission to public competitions or postgraduate schools;
- need to supplement their three-year study plan to gain admission to a specific Master's degree programme at another university.
Individual courses taken at Luiss cannot be assessed for the recognition of credits required for admission to Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Single-Cycle Master’s degree programmes offered at Luiss.
For the 2026–2027 academic year:
- classes for the first semester will start on 7 September 2026 and end on 5 December 2026,
- classes in the second semester will start on 1 February 2027 and end on 8 May 2027.
Please note: if you are enrolling in a course offered by the Undergraduate School or the Graduate School, visit the page dedicated to the respective Educational Model. Here, you’ll find useful information on how teaching activities are conducted, the rules for taking exams, and the educational approach that sets our university apart.
Requirements
Anyone with a secondary school diploma (or equivalent qualification) can enrol in individual courses. Admission to the individual course depends on the number of places available for each academic year.
Non-EU students residing abroad are required to fully comply with current ministerial regulations.
Costs and deadlines
The registration fee is €250 per CFU/ECTS credit and is therefore calculated based on the number of CFU/ECTS credits assigned to each selected course. The stamp duty for enrolment must also be added to this amount.
Students wishing to enrol in individual courses must submit the required enrolment documents within the specified periods:
- First semester (September–January): by mid-July;
- Second semester (February–June): by mid-January.
How to enrol
To enrol in one or more individual courses at our University, you must send the following documents by email to ammissione@luiss.it:
- An application form addressed to the Rector, detailing the selected courses and providing relevant information;
- a copy of your passport;
- a certificate confirming your educational qualification and the exams you have taken*;
- a digital passport-size photograph.
*For students enrolled at institutions abroad, the certificate must be issued by the home university and written in English. Only if an English-language certificate cannot be issued should the original document from the home university be translated and legalised by the relevant diplomatic or consular authorities.
Once the documents submitted to the Admissions Office have been verified, students will receive instructions on how to access the Self-service Web portal and make the payment:
the revenue stamp for €16;
- the registration fee.
At the end of the semester they attend, students can request an official certificate showing only the exams they have taken and passed, following the instructions on the dedicated web page.
