Global Management and Politics
The Master's Degree Programme in Global Management and Politics is designed to develop professionals capable of combining managerial and political science skills and who are well positioned for management and advisory roles in a globalised and ever-changing world.
The programme is distinguished by an interdisciplinary approach that combines economics, management, political science, law and history, offering an in-depth understanding of the dynamics governing the relationships between public institutions, economic actors and international organisations.
Thanks to the balance between analytical rigour and attention to concrete issues, the programme equips students to work in complex professional contexts, both in multinational businesses and in governmental and non-governmental organisations.

The Director
The Master's Degree Program in Global Management and Politics provides a coherent and customisable educational experience. In the first year, the programme provides a solid grounding in business economics, political theory and research methodologies, with key courses such as Managerial Economics, Global Organisation Design and HRM, Global Politics, and International Trade Law.
In the second year the curriculum reinforces the historical-political and cross-cultural perspective, with courses such as Business Ethics, Global History and Cross-Cultural Management, and allows students to customise their path through two electives.
Students’ own study plans are completed by:
- Transversal activities (Life Skills and STEM Readiness)
- Professional workshops
- A curricular internship or project work
- Final thesis
First semester
International Managerial Economics and Business: Managerial Economics
The course introduces the application of economic principles and methodologies to key managerial decisions in organisations, providing a better understanding of the global environment in which they operate.
International Managerial Economics and Business: International Business
The course aims to explain the rationale behind the process of internationalisation of companies, foreign expansion strategies, consequent organisational measures and the main management issues for operating internationally.
Global Organisation Design and HRM
The course explores the drivers of global organisation design and the role of human resource management. It focuses on contemporary issues in organisational design, the implications of 'open organising' and the context of global human resources management.
Financial Reporting and Performance Measurement
The course focuses on the use of financial statements for analysis and evaluation, to understand how to conduct financial analysis, appraise equity investments and write an equity research report.
Qualitative and Quantitative Methodologies for Social Sciences
The course offers an integrated introduction to the main methodological approaches of research in the social sciences, combining qualitative and quantitative tools for the analysis of complex political and social phenomena. The aim is to provide students with a sound theoretical and practical basis for designing, conducting and interpreting empirical research in real-world contexts.
Second semester
Corporate Strategy
The course addresses the theoretical frameworks and models for formulating and implementing business strategies at the corporate level. Skills are developed to understand and analyse strategic decisions on industry, cost efficiency, resources, competitive advantage, growth strategy and digitalisation.
Global Politics
The course introduces the theoretical and analytical tools to manage the political aspect of global business. It also provides resources for analysing international relations.
Political Economy of Globalization
The course provides theoretical and methodological knowledge of international trade issues and policies. Particular emphasis is placed on the environmental impact of globalisation, especially in terms of pollution and climate change.
Business Ethics
The course focuses on the ethical justification of markets and ethical behaviour within businesses. Sustainability and stakeholder analysis form the core issues of the course.
International Trade Law
The course examines economic interactions between states and economic relations between states and non-governmental entities, providing an overview of the legal and institutional basis of international trade law governing foreign investment.
Global History
The course presents methods, theories and critiques of global history and analyses studies that have sought to understand global changes.
Cross-Cultural Management
The course introduces students to the fundamental issues of cross-cultural management, providing them with adequate knowledge and understanding of the impact of cultures on management and organisational behaviour.

Tuition fees, scholarships and benefits
The annual single tuition fee for enrolment in the Master's Degree Programme in Global Management and Politics is € 15,000.00, divided into 3 instalments, plus the regional student welfare tax.*
Luiss offers scholarships and partial or total exemptions from university tuition fees, also thanks to the support of public and private partners.
The University has also entered into agreements with Italian banks to offer flexible loans without collateral.

*The amount of the regional student welfare tax will be decided by the Lazio Region in June/July 2026.
The degree program is subject to approval by the Ministry of University and may undergo modifications.
