The doctoral program in Political Science aims to equip participants with the skills needed to pursue an academic or professional career at international institutions, NGOs, public and private research institutes, as well as in the field of political and institutional communication. The doctoral program aims to equip students with the tools needed to engage in the current debate on political philosophy, particularly concerning international relations. It also provides a forum where this discussion can continue and evolve within an advanced academic setting with international relevance.

Our doctoral students engage in a range of academic activities. First and foremost, these include attending a series of lecture courses during the first year of the doctoral program. We also organize regular seminars for young researchers, providing a space for the presentation of ongoing work—whether by doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, or invited speakers—as well as an opportunity to discuss academic and administrative issues of common interest. Additionally, doctoral students are encouraged to actively participate in the department's Research Seminar, which brings together all members of the Department of Political Science on a weekly basis to discuss research articles.

At the end of each academic year, typically in June, the doctoral student community gathers for the annual Political Science doctoral program conference.
