Administration, Finance and Control
This degree program offers students a choice of two tracks: one taught in Italian and the other in English. Both focus on providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary education:
Major in Italian
The Master’s Degree Program in Administration, Finance, and Control, with a specialization in Financial Statements, Control, and Business Consulting, provides advanced training in accounting, tax, and finance. It focuses on preparing financial statements, financial and sustainability reporting, coordinating civil and tax law, and managing corporate crises.
The curriculum develops skills in financial reporting, national and international accounting standards, corporate taxation, corporate governance, internal control systems, and extraordinary corporate transactions. The approach combines technical rigor with practical application, training professionals who are capable of preparing, examining, and interpreting financial and non-financial information, as well as overseeing compliance processes. Graduates can become certified public accountants, work in tax planning, or join auditing and consulting firms.
Major in English
The English-language program, Accounting, Financial Management and Control, provides rigorous quantitative training in financial and management accounting, quantitative methods for management (data analytics), and budgeting and financial planning processes. This equips students with the tools to prepare and analyze financial information to support managerial decision-making.
The program prepares students for roles in Accounting and Finance departments at multinational corporations, auditing firms, and consulting companies. It also equips them for internationally recognized certifications such as CFA, ACCA, and CIMA, enhancing their competitiveness in global job markets.

Italian Major
The Italian-language track of the Master's Degree Programme in Administration, Finance and Control is designed to provide a comprehensive grounding in the economic-business, legal and accounting fields. The aim is to develop professionals capable of analysing and managing business phenomena in an informed manner, mastering the tools needed to deal with the complexity of strategic, managerial and financial decisions.
The study plan addresses three main macro-topics in an integrated manner:
- In-depth study of national and international principles for corporate reporting.
- Understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, with particular attention to corporate and tax aspects, as well as focus on corporate crisis management processes.
- Economic and quantitative analysis in support of business planning.
English Major
The English-taught track, Accounting, Financial Management and Control, offers rigorous and quantitatively grounded training designed to prepare students for supporting top managment decision-making. The program combines advanced accounting knowledge with analytical and financial tools, emphasizing the interpretation of financial and non-financial information for managerial decision making.
This track builds knowledge across three key thematic areas:
- Understanding economic behavior and management decision-making processes also with quantitative and econometric tools.
- Mastering tools for financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Exploring governance, ethics, and the role of data in complex business environments.

The course explores the principles of micro- and macroeconomics as they apply to business decisions.
Quantitative Methods for Business
The course introduces the statistical and quantitative tools needed to analyze business data.
Company law
The course covers the main legal concepts related to companies and governance.
Tax law
The course covers the fundamentals of the Italian tax system and their implications for businesses.
International Accounting Principles
The course delves into IFRS standards and their application in financial statements.
Advanced Corporate Finance
The course explores complex financial decisions, including capital structure and valuation.
Business Crises and Recovery Plans
The course focuses on tools for crisis management and corporate turnaround.
Project Financing
The course covers financing models for infrastructure and long-term projects.
Professional Skills
The course develops the operational skills needed for the accountant profession.
Year 2: 2027/2028
M&A and Business Valuation
The objective of this course is to examine the economic and financial implications of significant M&A-type transactions, capital structures and methodologies for assessing the value of businesses, mentioning also the accounting and legal effects of those transactions.

Big Data Analysis

Tuition, scholarships, and financial aid
The one-time annual fee for enrollment in the Master’s Degree Program in Administration, Finance, and Control is 15,000.00 euros, payable in three installments, plus the regional tax.*
Luiss offers scholarships and partial or full exemptions from tuition fees, made possible in part by support from public and private partners.
The University has also entered into agreements with Italian banks to offer flexible financing without collateral.

The degree program is subject to approval by the Ministry of University and may undergo changes.
Career paths
Graduates will be able to join the Administration, Finance, and Control (AFC) departments of industrial and service companies, or work in consulting or auditing roles with consulting firms or professional practices. Roles may encompass business valuation, corporate transactions, governance, and tax planning.
In addition to the professional opportunities mentioned, the course also provides access to the state exam for certification as a Certified Public Accountant and Statutory Auditor.
An agreement with the Rome Association of Certified Public Accountants offers benefits for curricula that meet its standards.
