“Vittorio Bachelet” Research Center on Public Administrations
The “Vittorio Bachelet” Research Center on Public Administrations, established in 1992, focuses on studying and researching Public Administrations and their transformations. The research, conducted with an interdisciplinary approach, is preferably focused on topics relevant to public administrations, with a view to defining or implementing administrative reforms, including from a European perspective.
The Center also conducts scientific, theoretical, and applied research and consultancy, while fostering the training of young researchers and experts in administration and public institutions. This includes study meetings, seminars, and conferences, often with a comparative focus. It also organizes training activities for public managers and practitioners, particularly in innovative or experimental fields, with the aim of strengthening the link between administrative reforms and the training or professional development of those in leadership roles.
Since 2001, the Center has published the electronic journal “Amministrazione in Cammino” (ISSN 2038-3711), which features reports, notes, and commentaries, as well as case law in the fields of public law, administrative law, economic law, and public administration science. It also oversees the “Collana di studi sull'amministrazione pubblica” (Series of Studies on Public Administration), published by Wolters Kluwer, which brings together monographic studies on key topics concerning public institutions and administrations.
