Luiss Graduate School

Internationalization, interdisciplinarity, and customizable pathways shape an educational experience where knowledge, vision, and the ability to take action evolve together.

Knowledge, vision, action: the mission of the Luiss Graduate School

"We develop individuals who are able to stay relevant, adaptable, and aware in an era of increasingly rapid change — not just ready for today's job market, but poised to lead in tomorrow's."

We design internationalinterdisciplinary learning journeys built to develop judgment, ethical responsibility, and decision-making skills within today's complex, AI-augmented systems. In a world shaped by emerging technologies, we believe that the real value lies in the human ability to interpret, govern, and transform them into knowledge, planning, and strategic action.

This vision underpins a rigorously student-centered, impact-oriented educational model. It is based on the continuous connection between academic rigor, innovative teaching, and real-world experiences, all in constant dialogue with businesses, institutions, and transnational networks.

The goal is to provide the methodological tools needed to bridge disciplines, understand major changes, and transform specialized skills and strategic vision into leadership, decision-making, and the ability to take action.

Integrated and international academic governance

The Graduate School brings together master’s degree programs in Management, Economics, Political Science, and Law under integrated governance, fostering a deep interdisciplinary exchange, academic coherence, and the highest quality educational experience.

The Dean, the Program Directors, and the School’s governing bodies contribute to the strategic development of the educational offering and the continuous evolution of the learning journey, working in synergy with students, faculty, and international networks.

An educational model designed with people at its core

The Graduate School offers a personalized educational experience, built around modular programs, the integration of disciplines, and ongoing engagement with global application contexts.

The educational model is built around the SMART model, a pedagogical framework structured around five core principles

  • Student-Centric Approach: Students are active participants in their own educational journey, supported by ongoing assessment and structured feedback from faculty to enhance learning.
  • Multi-disciplinarity: transcending traditional boundaries between subjects to interpret and navigate contemporary complexity
  • Academic Rigor: Elite quality standards, a solid methodological foundation, and critical analysis skills that build lasting value in one’s professional career.
  • Readiness: Developing skills geared toward the professions of the future—aligned with trends identified by leading global observers—and demonstrating a high degree of responsiveness to the evolving international job markets.
  • Tech-Enhancement: Technology as a transformative lever for learning—integrated into teaching processes to improve instruction, enhance learning, and prepare students to manage the impact of digital technology in today’s professional environments.

Experiential and challenge-based learning, certificates, and micro-credentials foster the development of cross-cutting skills, creating a dynamic and customizable educational experience that seamlessly connects advanced learning, project-based work, and employability.

The goal is to develop individuals who can navigate complex systems and create lasting value, combining readily applicable skills with flexibility and a commitment to lifelong learning.

International experience and global networks

We are developing the Graduate School within an academic ecosystem that connects students, faculty, partner universities, businesses, institutions, and organizations in a continuous space for discussion, collaboration, and transnational exchange.

Fully English-language programs, mobility initiatives, Double & Triple Degrees, exchange programs, QTEM, and Free Mover experiences expand the opportunities to integrate different academic systems, cultural perspectives, and disciplinary approaches throughout the entire course of study.

Through ENGAGE.EU, we actively participate in an alliance of leading European universities. This alliance promotes student mobility, cutting-edge educational innovation, collaborative research, and the development of skills geared toward navigating the major economic, social, and institutional transformations of our time.

With a network of over 315 partner universities in 64 countries, we offer educational and professional opportunities designed to broaden perspectives, strengthen global connections, and foster a truly international study experience.

Employability is a core aspect of the Graduate School experience, integrated into the educational journey from day one through a tangible and ongoing dialogue between education, businesses, institutions, and globally recognized networks.

Our connections with the Confindustria system, employer partners, and dedicated Advisory Boards  help ensure our educational offerings stay current and aligned with the evolving economic, geopolitical, and professional landscapes of today. Managers, practitioners, and professionals are directly involved in the training programs, helping to create learning experiences that are in constant dialogue with the evolving markets, organizations, and contemporary technological landscapes.

Our ecosystem aims not only to facilitate rapid professional integration, but also to develop individuals who can remain relevant, demonstrate adaptive leadership, and consciously steer the evolution of future global scenarios.

With the Career Service by Design model, we are building a dynamic ecosystem that connects faculty, employers, alumni, and career advisors to support students in developing skills, professional awareness, and tangible connections to the international job market. For us, the employability journey is an integral part of the learning journey: structured, progressive, and present from day one.

  • Discovery — the journey begins with an onboarding to Employability services that helps students orient themselves, learn about their aptitudes, and develop initial professional awareness.
  • Development — professional growth intertwines with academic development: through assessments, certificates, and micro-credentials co-designed with employers, students develop practical skills and define their professional identity.
  • Matching — the moment when preparation meets the market: Career Day, recruiting events, internships, one-on-one meetings with career advisors, and group workshops focused on refining application strategies, with direct access to openings via Job Teaser. For highly selective sectors—such as Banking & Finance, European Union institutions, and the Startup ecosystem—there are dedicated programs featuring industry professionals.
  • Engagement & Connection — the relationship with employers doesn't end with the degree: career networking, mentoring, and the global Alumni network build a professional community that supports graduates over time.

Access to high-profile opportunities is structured through exclusive university channels, including the Luiss Summer Internship program, which opens the doors to leading partner companies and law firms even during the master's degree program. The educational model itself is designed to continuously expose students to the world of work: project challenges, testimonials, company visits, and events make employability a lived experience, not just something to be expected.
