The 26th edition of Luiss Career Day is back
Over 10,000 networking opportunities, 3,000 graduating students and alumni, and more than 160 of the most prominent Italian and international companies and institutions: these are the figures for Luiss Career Day, the major annual event that connects students and alumni of the University named after Guido Carli with the corporate and legal ecosystem and the world of institutions. The event returns on Monday, May 9th and Tuesday, May 10th for its 26th edition.
On the Viale Romania campus, participants will be able to gather information, apply for jobs, and interview with companies, law firms, and institutions that are seeking young talent. It's a true full immersion in the job market, where potential candidates can apply for numerous open positions on the Luiss Career Center platform: from Data Scientist to Global Supply Chain Expert, from Global IT Organization Officer to Market Analyst Global Trading, and even Digital Transformation Consultant.
But that's not all: over the two days dedicated to connecting job seekers with opportunities, students can attend up to 10 one-on-one interviews with recruiters and take part in more than 80 “Turbo Sessions.” These are presentations aimed at a select group of young candidates, offering an in-depth look at the organizations participating in Career Day, including Accenture, A2A, Acea, Amazon, BNP Paribas, Bottega Veneta, Deloitte, ENEL, ENI, Fincantieri, Generali, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, Philip Morris Italia, Poste Italiane, SACE, Scalapay, Unicredit, Volkswagen, and WindTre.
Among the new features of the 26th edition is a vertical focus on potential career paths in state administration, with public bodies and institutions offering students a privileged overview of public competitions to help them plan a career in service to the country. Major institutions involved include the Chamber of Deputies, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Revenue Agency, and CONSOB – the Italian Financial Markets Supervisory Authority. Additionally, international organizations such as the FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization and the WFP – World Food Programme are also participating.
Other planned initiatives include the CV Check. This service will allow participants to tap into the support of the university's Career Service team, receiving valuable tips on how to best present their resumes.
The close ties with the ecosystem of Italian and international businesses and institutions—an integral part of Luiss’s DNA since its founding—result in a 93.8% employment rate for graduates one year after graduation, with peaks of 95% for the Department of Economics and Finance, and a rise in international rankings. The preparation of Luiss alumni, who are increasingly valued by employers both nationally and internationally, is indeed one of the factors that has enabled the university to climb over 200 positions in the past five years in the prestigious QS by Subject 2022 global ranking. In fact, for the first time, Luiss University is among the top 25 in the world for Political and International Studies and also in the top 100 for Law and Business and Management.
“Universities must increasingly open the door to the future for young people, anticipating new career paths in their courses of study and fostering connections between graduating students and alumni with companies, institutions, and the professional world. These are the goals of Luiss Career Day, an annual event that offers our students a valuable opportunity to discuss their skills and career aspirations with Italy’s leading organizations,” said Giovanni Lo Storto, the University’s Director General. He continued: “ Now in its 26th edition, this initiative serves as an exceptional platform to connect young people with tomorrow, thanks in part to the experiences of our alumni, who are ready to provide all participants with useful tools and advice to confidently tackle the complexities and challenges of the future.”
