Expression of interest for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowships 2023
Luiss Guido Carli University invites expressions of interest for a joint application under the EU's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship funding program.
Luiss is strongly focused on carrying out impactful initiatives to improve its national and international standing in university rankings, achieving the following results in the QS World University Rankings:
- 14th in the world and 1st in Italy for Politics
- Top 50 globally for Business & Management
- Top 50 globally for Law
With this in mind, the initiative's main goal is to encourage researchers of any nationality who demonstrate strong research potential to work on research and innovation projects at Luiss University.
The European Commission has published the 2023 call for MSCA scholarships, with a deadline set for September 13, 2023 (link).
As the host institution, Luiss welcomes expressions of interest from outstanding potential candidates and is conducting a pre-selection process with a deadline of July 21, 2023.
We invite motivated researchers of any nationality, who have completed their PhD and have research experience, to express their interest.
The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to identify potential international candidates in various predefined research topics who possess the required profile to work with us, leading up to the submission of a complete application for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie scholarship program.
Before submitting an expression of interest to Luiss, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements of the MSCA 2023 call and confirm that their research field aligns with the research areas of the Luiss Departments. Luiss will then evaluate the expressions of interest submitted, along with the support of a Luiss professor who will serve as the supervisor for the research project proposed in the MSCA application.
The expression of interest to Luiss—sent via email to ricerca@luiss.it with the subject line “MSCA Call 2023”—must include:
- A brief CV
- A two-page research proposal that includes a brief statement explaining why the candidate has chosen Luiss as the host institution, as well as the name of a referee, if the candidate already has one.
Luiss reserves the right to accept the candidate and support their application based on an internal academic evaluation and the availability of suitable supervision. Priority is given to candidates whose profile aligns with Luiss's research interests and focus.
Acceptance of the expression of interest does not create any obligation for Luiss toward the researcher if the application to the MSCA call is not accepted.
The Luiss Research Office will support the selected candidates in submitting their applications for the MSCA call. Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the Luiss evaluation process on this web page and via email by July 28, 2023.
