Instructional goals
The course is structured in three parts:
-The institutional module proposes to offer an interpretative, analytic, and theoretical framework of the communicative processes in businesses and in other types of interdisciplinary organizations and to analyze the existing interconnections with the disciplines of sociology, organizational, economics and administrative management.
-The in-depth analysis module takes into consideration the operative aspects connected to the management and development of human resources and the politics of corporate communications inside businesses and particularly significant public administrations employing also exercises and case studies;
- Seminars have the task of making known business experiences of notable interest originating from the world of private enterprise, national and international, and from that of innovative public administrations.
Prerequisites
The course requires knowledge of sociology, communication, as well as elements of economics.

Course Contents
The course is structured in three parts:
1) INSTITUTIONAL MODULE
This module will introduce to fundamental theoretic concepts to understand the evolution of cultural and organizational models, the development of Human Resources Management and corporate communication policies, in national and international situations, taking cognizance of the rising importance of the person to determine a positive business or institutional performance.
Particular attention will be given to policies and tools of the government of labour relations and to new corporate communication models, oriented strategically and culturally to a mature and aware customer.
The Italian experience will be examined through the analysis of the evolution of the main application models in innovative companies and public administrations particularly virtuous.
2) IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS MODULE
The main strategic tools for excellent and efficient Human Resources Management shall be taken into consideration, among which: organizational communication; recruiting and selection; evaluation and incentivization.
Moreover, particular attention will be given to new corporate communication tools, including communication planning, communication mix and stakeholders involvement; advertising and public relations; brand name and high market visibility; internet, e-commerce and multimedia languages.
3) SEMINARS
During seminars, there shall be presented significant business experiences about human resources management and corporate improvement policies, through stories of the manager and privileged witnesses coming from national and international companies and innovative public administrations.

Assessment Method
- Teamwork undertaken during the course (20%)
-Oral exam at the end of the course (80%)
Thesis assignment criteria
The thesis will be assigned to those students which demonstrate a real scientific interest for the discipline and only after having undergone the exam and having obtained a more than positive outcome. Its elaboration and articulation requires the definition of a theoretical framework of coherent reference with the goal of study and analysis of one or more empirical cases.
