Obiettivi formativi

The course will allow students to acquire knowledge of the main profiles of labour law, allowing them to understand the importance of new technologies and the effects they are having on organization and labour law.

Prerequisiti

Basic knowledge of Italian private law is recommended

Knowledge and understanding: At the end of the course, the student will have an appropriate knowledge of: labour law; of the main technologies used in this area; the impacts that new technologies have/may have on organization and labour law; the potential and limits to the application of new technologies. The above knowledge will be acquired through participation in lectures, seminars, individual study, exercises, individual and group work. Applying knowledge and understanding: The student will be able to apply the notions learned to cases. In particular, he will be able to: analyze concrete situations; identify problems; find solutions; identify the right balance between productive interests and workers' rights. Making judgements: The student will be able to integrate the knowledge learned and analyze the complexity of the legal phenomena in the various aspects. He will be critically able to evaluate situations and find solutions, in the right balance of the various interests involved. Communications Skills: The course is taught in English and this will also contribute to the mastery of the language in the relevant field. Communication skills will also be enhanced through the preparation and presentation of individual and group work. Learning skills: Learning skills will be facilitated through the use of different teaching methodologies. The course, in fact, will be articulated through lectures, seminars, exercises, individual and group work, classroom presentations, study and examination of case studies, testimonials.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

The assessment of students learning will be centered on a written exam; it will also be evaluated class participation (including students' presentation and class debate). Students are asked to work in groups to prepare presentations or documents on the course topics.
