Contenuti Del Corso

The course is structured in three main sections along the strategic management process. In the first section, students will understand the strategic analysis through the definition of goals and objectives, the analysis of the external environment and the internal environment of the firm. In the second section, the business level strategic formulation (cost leadership, Focus, and differentiation) will be analysed. Finally, the course will deepen the understanding of how each managerial function (Organisation, Marketing, Innovation Management, Operations, and Finance) contributes to the implementation of the strategic management process. At the end of the course, students will acquire the ability to integrate different dimensions of a problem and to apply both logic and judgment in analyzing situations. Throughout the course, students develop the analysis of case studies relating to prominent companies facing the challenge of competitive markets.
