Reimagine University Life: International Graduate Competition
Challenge Dates: 25 August 2025 – 29 January 2026
Format: Online – Individually or in team (max 5 people)
Who can participate: Undergraduate students in their penultimate or final year, currently studying outside of Italy
What if your ideas could shape the future of higher education?
Are today’s universities doing enough to prepare students for life after graduation? How can academic institutions better support your journey from the classroom to your first job—and beyond?
“Reimagine University Life – International Graduate Competition” invites undergraduate students in their penultimate or final year currently studying outside of Italy to share bold, forward-thinking proposals for transforming the university-to-career experience. From employability to mentorship, from skill-building to industry connections, this competition is your chance to reimagine what higher education should look like in a rapidly changing global workforce.
The Challenge
Reflect on your own academic journey and think critically about what’s missing. Then, imagine a university that does things differently—a university that prepares you not just to graduate, but to thrive.
Your proposal may focus on one or more of the following areas:
· Employability: How can universities bridge the gap between education and employment?
· Career Services: What kind of guidance should institutions offer to help students define and reach their career goals?
· Industry Connections: How can universities build real, effective partnerships with companies, startups, and public organizations?
· Skills Development: What soft and hard skills should be prioritized during the academic journey?
· Mentorship and Networking: What support systems could connect students with alumni, professionals, and peers around the world?
Express your vision in the format that works best for you:
· A written document (max 3 pages)
· A short video (max 60 seconds)
· A PowerPoint presentation (max 5 slides)
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on originality, clarity, innovation, and execution.
