The Cybersecurity & Compliance Observatory serves as a research hub for cybercrime and cybersecurity, as well as for the legal and economic analysis of cybersecurity policies. It focuses on their impact: (i) on the internal processes of economic operators and organizational models; (ii) on the social fabric and the relationships between citizens and institutions; (iii) on codified law and the regulatory landscape.

The scientific analysis is based on what’s known as Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), a collection of information gathered and analyzed from open sources regarding existing or emerging cyber threats. The Observatory will analyze the regulatory landscape in response to cyber threats, starting with a study of national and supranational sources. This will inform the development of policy guidance for economic operators, with a particular focus on secondary legislation and soft law.
