EURECA’s goal is to conduct scientific research on the political, economic-legal, and institutional relationships between society, religious denominations, and other cultures at both the Italian and European levels. It aims to foster a deep mutual understanding of different religions and their intellectual and ritual traditions, and to explore the connections between Italian and European culture and the various religions and other cultures that are part of modern society in EU member states.

As part of its research activities, the EURECA Observatory aims to launch a program of high scientific caliber called Emuna Italia. This program will bring together individuals from diverse cultures, professors, and ministers of worship (both those currently in service and those in training), as well as others with relevant expertise and an interest in the research project at hand.

The research seminars will be led by professors with proven excellence in the various relevant scientific fields. They aim to build a foundation of core competencies essential for in-depth analytical work, for religious communities to take on leadership roles in higher education and training, for each participant to broaden their knowledge from a multidisciplinary perspective, and for the development of a network of connections and interactions that fosters interreligious and intercultural dialogue. Specifically, this research activity will focus on participants in the Emuna Italia program presenting individual and collective research projects and outputs. These will be based on innovative and scientifically proven methods, critical thinking, teamwork, discussions with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and conversations with prominent experts.
