NextGenEd Forum – AI-Driven Innovation in Learning and Careers

Rome, September 15–19, 2025

Luiss Guido Carli is launching the first Italian forum dedicated to innovation and the future of education. This annual international event, in its current edition, focuses on the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence in educational processes and professional development.

The decision to promote the Forum stems from the need to manage the transformations brought about by artificial intelligence, which are reshaping not only the dynamics of the labor market but also teaching methodologies and educational content.

Within this context, there is a need to foster a systematic dialogue with guidance professionals—counselors, faculty, student associations, partner companies, and communication professionals—while also leveraging the privileged relationship with Confindustria, a leading authority on the evolution of the manufacturing sector. The initiative also aims to strengthen Rome’s role as an international hub for education and innovation, highlighting the global reach of the Luiss academic community and its ability to attract talent from diverse cultural backgrounds. With this in mind, the Forum serves as a platform to foster dialogue among universities, businesses, and institutions. The goal is to ensure that university education increasingly aligns with the real needs of society and the job market, while also promoting a forward-looking vision of higher education that anticipates emerging trends and supports students and families in making informed, sustainable choices over the long term.

For five days, schools and independent counselors, parent boards/student associations, Confindustria foreign offices and associated partners, Uni-Italia representatives, chapter leaders, media professionals, communicators, and influencers will gather on Luiss campuses to discuss, share experiences, and help launch an ongoing, international debate on the future of education.

Among the highlights of the 2025 edition are the Prompt-a-thons led by Accenture and Ernst & Young, which will engage participants in collaborative exercises exploring the impact of AI on learning and the world of work. The program also includes traveling fairs on campuses, lectures, cultural activities, and networking opportunities.

With the NextGenEd Forum, Luiss stands as the first university in Italy to champion such an initiative, bringing together institutions, professionals, and international partners in an open and ongoing dialogue on the evolution of higher education.
