Luiss University invites outstanding scholars and professors to express their interest in a full-time position as Full Professor of the Angelini Industries Chair in Strategic Innovation.

Requirements

Luiss University is now accepting expressions of interest for a prestigious Chair in Strategic Innovation, aiming to attract a leading international scholar who explores the interplay between strategy, technological change, and global talent development.
 

The ideal candidate is a global authority in strategic management and innovation, with a distinctly interdisciplinary approach and a proven ability to engage with policy-making communities.
The position is aimed at scholars with an excellent track record of publications in top-tier international journals, a recognized impact in research, and active participation in international academic initiatives.
The ability to combine a strong commitment to educational innovation with a specific interest in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, robotics, and logistics will be particularly valued.
The primary areas of research interest include, among others:

  • Strategic human capital: the evolution of skills and expertise to respond to the rapid transformations in industrial sectors and to bridge the gap between education and the labor market.
  • Learning sciences: designing innovative educational models and developing strategic scenarios in contexts with a high degree of artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on developing skills and competencies.
  • Health economics and management: the role and impact of artificial intelligence in innovation processes, particularly in the pharmaceutical and robotics sectors.

The Chair will make a significant contribution to advancing scientific research, developing strategic educational programs, and strengthening international partnerships.
Profiles with experience participating in and leading projects will be particularly valued.

Candidates must be able to teach and publish in English.

Role and Responsibilities

Luiss Full Professors are expected to conduct rigorous and innovative research in their fields of interest, publish in top-tier international journals, and provide academic support or leadership in research activities.
They are also expected to actively participate in the academic and intellectual life of the University and the Luiss community as a whole, as well as contribute to the development of the University’s study programs.
The teaching load is typically 120 hours per year for bachelor's or master's degree programs, unless special conditions are agreed upon at the time of appointment. Teaching assistantships are available. 
The appointed individual will also be responsible for supervising master's and bachelor's theses.
The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary.

About the Department

The main research areas of the Faculty of the Department of Business and Management include accounting and performance measurement systems; business strategy; corporate strategy; international business; corporate governance; digital innovation and transformation; ethics, responsibility, and sustainability; finance and banking; industrial innovation and evolution; law and economics; marketing and consumer behavior; organizational theory and human resource management; computer and data science; operations management; supply chain management; and the circular economy.
The Department also offers PhD programs.
