Luiss University invites outstanding scholars and professors to express their interest in a full-time position as Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Data Science.

Candidates must hold a PhD from a leading university, preferably with teaching experience and a strong record of publications and/or research projects. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong motivation to contribute to Luiss's dynamic and intellectually stimulating academic environment and to the development of the new Department of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Decision Science. Candidates will be junior researchers with a solid scientific background and an awareness of industry developments in Computer Science and Data Science. Candidates must be able to develop and pursue research projects in these fields, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, algorithms, and/or data analysis. The ability to publish in top-tier international journals, present work at prestigious scientific conferences, and teach courses in English at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are essential requirements.

Luiss Assistant Professors are expected to conduct rigorous and innovative research in their fields of interest, publish in top-tier international journals, and provide academic support or leadership in research activities. Active participation in the academic and intellectual life of the University and the Luiss community as a whole is also expected, along with a contribution to the development of the University’s study programs. The position of Assistant Professor is offered under a fixed-term contract of at least three years, with the possibility of renewal or extension following a positive evaluation by the Department. The teaching load is 90 hours per year for bachelor’s or master’s degree programs, unless special conditions are defined at the time of appointment. Teaching assistantships are available. The appointed individual will also be responsible for supervising master's and bachelor's theses. The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary.
