Luiss University invites outstanding scholars and faculty members to express their interest in a full-time position as Assistant Professor of Strategic Management.

The call is part of the University’s strategic commitment to attract outstanding scholars from around the world, strengthen its international profile, and promote cutting-edge research and education on issues of global importance. Applications are open to scholars of all backgrounds and nationalities. The selection will be based solely on academic merit, potential scientific impact, and alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan. Ideal candidates will make a significant contribution to the Department's research activities and will be committed to publishing in top-tier international academic journals. Candidates should be promising young scholars with a PhD (either completed or nearing completion) from a university of international standing. They should demonstrate excellent results in their doctoral studies, a promising research pipeline (e.g., submitted papers, working papers, conference papers), a solid job market paper, a rigorous methodological approach, and a strong interest in collaborating on international and interdisciplinary research projects. Candidates must be able to teach and publish in English.

Luiss Assistant Professors are expected to conduct rigorous and innovative research in their fields of interest, publish in top-tier international journals, and provide academic support or leadership in research activities. Active participation in the academic and intellectual life of the University and the Luiss community as a whole is also expected, along with a contribution to the development of the University’s study programs. The position of Assistant Professor is offered under a fixed-term contract of at least three years, with the possibility of renewal or extension following a positive evaluation by the Department. The teaching load is 90 hours per year for bachelor’s or master’s degree programs, unless special conditions are agreed upon at the time of appointment. Teaching assistantships are available. The selected candidate will also be required to supervise master’s and bachelor’s theses. The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary.

The Department also offers PhD programs.
