To this end, the course will focus on a set of competencies, including communication, leadership, and writing skills, through practical exercises. These skills will enable students to navigate our ever more complex and challenging work environment more effectively.

Knowledge and understanding:
The course will emphasize a set of soft skills that are deemed crucial for entering the labor market. It offers students conceptual and practical tools to develop their abilities in leadership, communication, and writing. By engaging in this course, students will be equipped with the necessary skills to excel in these areas and thrive in the professional world.
Applying knowledge and understanding:
The students will be able to:
- get knowledge on soft skills and in particular on leadership, communication style, and writing.
- Apply a learning-by-doing with practical exercises and in groups.
Making judgements:
We expect students to proactively transfer the knowledge they acquire through theories and practices. Additionally, they are expected to reflect on the importance of developing soft skills, understand how to implement them over time, and leverage them for long-term success.
Communications Skills:
This course will provide students with the opportunity to enhance and practice various communication techniques, encompassing both written and verbal skills. Moreover, it aims to refine their proficiency in listening and presentation, allowing them to effectively convey ideas and information in a clear and impactful manner.
Learning skills:
This course will contribute to empowering learners by equipping them with a comprehensive toolkit to enhance their soft skills from various business perspectives. Through a range of instructional approaches and practical exercises, students will gain the necessary tools to strengthen their communication, collaboration, adaptability, and leadership abilities within diverse business contexts.
Course Contents
In this course, students will be exposed to a series of real-life situations designed to challenge and enhance their soft skills, including leadership and communication abilities. Through interactive simulations guided by the instructor, students will have the opportunity to apply their skills in a practical setting. These simulations aim to provide invaluable hands-on experience and facilitate the refinement of their interpersonal and decision-making skills.
The course will specifically cover the following topics:
(i) The importance and methods of cultivating soft skills in professional environments;
(ii) Effective communication techniques and strategies;
(iii) Proficiency in delivering high-quality academic writing.
