FINANCIAL REPORTING
Instructional goals
The course aims to transfer knowledge about tools and methods of business analysis, with particular focus on the topics of economic, financial and value performance of companies
Intended learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: the student will have acquired the knowledge of the tools and methods of analysis of the economic and financial performance of companies;
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: the student will have achieved the ability to analyze the economic and financial performance of companies using the methods and techniques acquired;
MAKING JUDGMENT: the student will have developed the ability to formulate critical judgments on the economic and financial performance of companies;
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: the student will be able to communicate ratings and judgments on the economic and financial performance of companies;
LEARNING SKILLS: the student will have acquired the learning skills necessary for the continuation and conclusion of studies independently.

Financial statement reporting IAS-IFRS e ITA GAAP, balance sheet and profit and loss statement reclassification, liquidity ratios, key performance indicator, leverage effects (operative and financial), MM model, value analisys and value diagram

Assessment Method
The evaluation of the student “attending” will be assessed through:
- n. 2 group project works (5/6 each group) dealing with financial statement analysis, including sector comparison and the expression of a final opinion, weight 35% each project;
- written exam, weight 30%, consisting of questions on the theorical and applied part of the course program. The number and type of questions will be decided by teacher and communicated before the exam. The evaluation of the students “non-attending” will consist in a final written test with questions that require the determination of values through the methods and analysis tools acquired during course, both on the theoretical and applied part of the course programme. Learning verification will be conducted with reference to the teorical knowledge of the methodologies for assessing the economic and financial performance of companies and in relation to the ability to apply the analysis models studied.
