Tiny creatures, big impact
The event stems from a project that some Luiss students are developing in connection with Go Bugs Go, an international initiative dedicated to protecting biodiversity and raising awareness about environmental issues. This initiative promotes the creation of Non-Human Zones: areas of land purchased and fully returned to nature, where human intervention is limited to encourage ecosystem regeneration and protect biodiversity.
Building on this experience, the meeting offers a broader reflection on the relationship between human presence, development models, and their impact on ecosystems. It explores the role of cultural and academic institutions in the transition toward more sustainable ways of coexisting with the non-human. The University’s initiatives for environmental sustainability and impact reduction also fall within this framework.
