42 Roma Luiss: The coding school is back, with no teachers and no tuition fees

Enrollment is now open again at 42 Roma Luiss, the coding school brought to Italy by Luiss Guido Carli with the goal of training a new generation of innovators who can lead the digital transition.

In fact, according to the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, employment in scientific professions in Italy will increase by 4% by 2050. Furthermore, Oxford University predicts that 9.5 million new jobs will be created in Europe over the next five years in AI, coding, and the Internet of Things.

In line with these projections, 42 Roma Luiss—whose strategic partner is Operazione Risorgimento Digitale (ORD), the major alliance for the spread of digital culture promoted by TIM and over 40 partners—aims to become a key player in training young digital talents, providing them with the opportunity to develop the expertise needed to drive sustainable innovation in our country.
With 42 Roma Luiss, we've brought a completely disruptive educational model to Italy. Starting next January, it will allow the most deserving students to learn the secrets of the digital world, free of charge. After a very rigorous selection process, 150 young men and women will be chosen to contribute to the technological transformation of our country, helping us meet the great innovation challenge that lies ahead,” said Giovanni Lo Storto, General Director of Luiss Guido Carli.

Therefore, 42 Roma Luiss is dedicated to always taking on the challenge of innovating, betting on young people and their skills for the restart. The school aims to confidently and responsibly ride the current technological revolution, leaving no one behind.

In fact, students learn in the field, learning from their mistakes according to the “peer-to-peer” logic, literally from one another. There are no tuition fees, and no academic credentials are required. The selection process involves two online tests, followed by introductory meetings on campus. These are prerequisites for access to the “Pools,” which will identify the students who best align with 42’s educational model. Starting this year, students who are already enrolled will also have the opportunity to continue their 42 education at one of over 30 campuses around the world, pursuing their studies in their own language, even if they are abroad.

The upcoming 2021 Pools will be held at the LVenture Group Hub in Termini Station (Via Marsala 29h), the school’s headquarters, on the following dates: September 27 to October 22; October 25 to November 19; and November 22 to December 17.

In addition to TIM ORD, 42 Roma Luiss is supported by Riccardo Zacconi, FSTECH, ACEA, and the LA4G – Luiss Alumni 4 Growth fund, the investment club of the Luiss Alumni.
