Start Cup Lazio (SCL), sponsored by Luiss, is the regional business plan competition that recognizes the best innovative business projects developed at Lazio's universities and research institutions.

With the aim of promoting academic and student entrepreneurship and fostering competition for the best business ideas in Lazio, with a view to economic and social implementation across the region, this 10th edition of Start Cup Lazio has admitted 16 teams of researchers and 11 teams of students  to the final stage .

Among the research teams that made it to the finals is Asimov AI , a company that provides AI tools for legislative analysis, scientifically validated by studies conducted by the Luiss Center for Parliamentary Studies (CESP). By offering its technical expertise to the Luiss center to jointly address local challenges and opportunities, Asimov AI ’s business idea provides institutions and companies with automated services for legislative monitoring and research through the use of artificial intelligence.

Following a training and mentoring program for the teams that passed the first validation phase and the second selection phase, the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova are supporting the competition process in preparation for the National Innovation Award (PNI). The top three business ideas from both the student and researcher teams will receive cash prizes and additional recognition.
