Start Cup Lazio (SCL), sponsored by Luiss, is the regional business plan competition that recognizes the best innovative business projects developed at Lazio's universities and research institutions.

With the aim of fostering academic and student entrepreneurship and spreading an entrepreneurial culture within the regional research system, ultimately driving economic and social impact across the country, this 10th edition of Start Cup Lazio has selected 20 teams of researchers and 34 teams of students to advance to the second phase: “Business Idea Validation.”

Among the 20 teams of researchers, Asimov AI is a company that provides AI tools for legislative analysis, scientifically validated by studies conducted by the Luiss Center for Parliamentary Studies (CESP). By offering its technical expertise to the Luiss center to jointly address regional challenges and opportunities, Asimov AI’s business concept provides automated legislative monitoring and research services to institutions and companies through the use of artificial intelligence.

Following a training and mentoring program for the teams that passed the first validation phase, and with support from the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova, the selection process will move on to the final stage in preparation for the National Innovation Award (PNI). The top three business ideas from both the student and researcher teams will receive cash prizes and additional recognition.
