The business idea CULTUM Luiss advances to the second phase of the Start Cup Lazio 2025
Start Cup Lazio (SCL), sponsored by Luiss, is the regional Business Plan Competition that recognizes the best innovative business projects developed at Lazio's universities and research institutions.
With the aim of fostering academic and student entrepreneurship and spreading an entrepreneurial culture within the regional research system, ultimately driving economic and social impact across the country, this 11th edition of Start Cup Lazio has admitted 15 teams of researchers and 26 teams of students to the second phase, “Validation of the Business Idea.”
Among the 26 student teams, CULTUM is an entrepreneurial initiative that promotes cleantech solutions for the agricultural sector, developed in synergy with Luiss’s research activities in the fields of energy and sustainability. By offering the University its technical expertise to jointly address regional challenges and opportunities, CULTUM proposes an innovative model to connect farmers and landowners, combating field neglect through Agritech technologies and Made in Italy supply chains, with a measurable impact in terms of ESG.
Following a training and mentoring program for the teams that passed the first validation phase, and with support from the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova, the selection process will move on to the final stage in preparation for the National Innovation Award (PNI). The top three business ideas from both the student and researcher teams will receive cash prizes and additional recognition.
