CEOforLIFE Luiss Special Edition – Charged up
CEOforLIFE Luiss Special Edition
A new opportunity for operational dialogue between institutions, CEOs, and students involved in the CEOforLIFE Task Force, a collaborative platform bringing together the business world, academia, and institutions to work on concrete projects that will be highlighted in the policy document setting the course for the PNRR.
“CEOforLIFE PNRR Luiss Special Edition – Charged up”: this was the meeting held today at Luiss Guido Carli, with the aim of showcasing the “level of charge” in the project proposals put forward by companies and the work they are doing with students in the PNRR’s focus areas.
To date, over 100 CEOs from leading Italian and multinational companies operating in Italy, who are active participants in CEO for LIFE, have met or will meet with more than 100 university students in one-on-one working sessions in the coming months. Together, they will define the objectives and content of projects to be included in the National Development Plan.
“It’s thanks to the joint commitment of all stakeholders that we’re here today to discuss the progress of the project proposals put forward by businesses and the work they’re doing with students in the six strategic areas of the PNRR,” emphasizes Giordano Fatali, founder of CEO for LIFE and promoter of the Task Force. “With the Task Force, we wanted to take a very concrete approach, focusing on the actions to be defined and their effectiveness, and sharing the proactive spirit that Prime Minister Draghi wanted to instill in the government’s agenda.” Today, more than ever, we will be judged on our ability to build a better future for the country and for the next generation based on the concrete actions we can implement.”
Service design to improve citizens’ experience with public administration, the development of ultra-fast networks even in the country’s most remote areas and bridging the digital divide, building replacement through the reuse of raw materials, the progressive electrification of shared mobility, and the redevelopment of work and living spaces, The revitalization of the maritime economy with a green focus, training models that engage both the business and academic worlds, gender equality and active inclusion policies within companies, nutrition education and prevention in schools and workplaces, and the impact on the health of present and future generations—these are just a few of the core themes driving the projects that Task Force companies are tackling alongside the rising generation of students.
“I’m very proud of the full involvement of over 100 of our students in this extraordinary opportunity for collaboration and intergenerational work with prominent CEOs. It’s a highly valuable experience that will enrich their backgrounds and remain etched in their memories when, one day, they become key players in various professional fields within companies and institutions.” stated Giovanni Lo Storto, the Director General of Luiss, adding: “The CEOforLIFE PNRR Task Force is therefore a key initiative that perfectly complements our new learning model, which we call 'inquiry-based.' It equips our students with the essential tools to relearn how to ask questions and find solutions, enabling them to make a real contribution at a pivotal moment for our country's future.”
The final document outlining proposals for the PNRR will be presented and delivered to the institutions on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Luiss Guido Carli. This meeting is organized to share with institutional representatives the projects that will be at the heart of the post-pandemic recovery.
