Collaboration contracts for the BETKONEXT project funded by the European Commission – Call for applications
The call for three collaboration contracts for the European project BETKONEXT is now online.
Interested candidates must submit their applications by Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 12:00 AM (CEST, UTC+2).
The BETKONEXT project aims to explore the protection of the EU’s financial interests, with a view to fostering institutional coordination. The work involves a comparative analysis of the anti-fraud regulatory frameworks in EU Member States (with a focus on Poland, Hungary, and Belgium) and comparative empirical research on the EU’s anti-fraud regulatory framework. The research will focus on fraud in the EU involving funds linked to criminal activity, also considering aspects related to administrative law.
The comparative evaluation process aims to select two collaborators, each of whom will work with a senior project resource, to carry out the following research activities:
- Position No. 1, focusing on the Polish case: support in organizing one seminar at the host university in Toruń and active collaboration on research deliverables .
- Position No. 2, focusing on the Spanish case: support for organizing one seminar at the host university in Barcelona and active collaboration on research deliverables .
The contracts will run from the first day of the month in which the contract is awarded until February 28, 2026.

The following documents must be attached to the application for admission to the selection process:
- a curriculum vitae in English;
- a copy of a valid ID;
- certificate of a four-year degree or master's degree;
- relevant scientific publications;
- additional documents and/or certifications deemed useful (e.g., documentation regarding a PhD, language certifications).
A dedicated Evaluation Committee will select the two collaborators through a preliminary assessment of the candidates' qualifications, followed by a possible interview.
The selection process results and the final ranking will be posted on the relevant Luiss web page, along with any list of candidates invited for an interview, the interview time, and the method or location for the interview.
