Collaboration contracts for the BRIDGEGAP project funded by the European Commission – Call for applications
The call for three collaboration contracts for the European project BRIDGEGAP is now online.
Interested candidates must submit their applications by Friday, October 25, at 3:00 PM (CEST, UTC+2).
The BRIDGEGAP project aims to address gaps in understanding the extent and mechanisms by which corruption infiltrates open societies, including across borders. It will produce measurements of corruption in various countries using its innovative models and social network mappings. The project also assesses and offers solutions to the gaps in digital transparency, ranging from transparency tools to the use and abuse of technology in corruption and the fight against it, as well as the current state of digital transparency. Finally, it assesses public accountability and anti-corruption regulation in the EUMS and candidate countries to identify gaps in legislation and impact, thereby addressing the divide between academia and politics in corruption studies.
The legal component of the research, conducted by Luiss, aims to develop a comparative and interactive online data repository. This repository will showcase variations in the legal treatment of corruption offenses, the comprehensiveness of criminal legislation (de jure) across different countries, and the application of laws in EU Member States and accession countries.
The purpose of this comparative selection process is to choose three collaborators to conduct research and provide support in line with the project's objectives.
The contracts will start on the first day of the month following the contract award and will run for 12 months.
The call for applications and the application form are available here.
The following documents must be attached to the application for admission to the selection process:
- a curriculum vitae in English;
- a copy of a valid ID;
- a certificate of a four-year bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree;

- any other relevant documentation and/or certification (e.g., doctoral documentation; language certificates).
The selection will be based on qualifications and a possible interview, and will be carried out by a dedicated Evaluation Committee.
The results of the comparative selection process and the final ranking will be published on the relevant Luiss web page, along with the list of candidates invited for a potential interview. This list will also include the interview schedule and details regarding the method and location.
