Diversity Day Rome 2023

Diversity Day, the event dedicated to the employment of people with disabilities and those belonging to protected categories, is coming to Rome, to the Luiss Guido Carli University.

In keeping with its commitment to Diversity & Inclusion, which has enabled the University named after Guido Carli to welcome a growing number of students with disabilities and learning difficulties—313 in total in 2022/2023, an increase of over 90% compared to 2020/2021—and to expand its financial support, the University will open its doors to over 1,200 people and 30 companies for an orientation and interview day scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Viale Romania campus.

The event will kick off with the conference “Inclusive Employment: Companies, Talent, and the Reform of Law 68/99,” featuring institutional greetings from Prof. Antonio Punzi, Director of the Luiss Department of Law and Rector's Delegate for Disability, and Edoardo Messineo, Professor of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at Luiss. During the event, which will be subtitled and translated into Italian Sign Language (LIS), we will delve into the reform of Law 68/99 and its significant impact on all stakeholders: job seekers, companies eager to hire but facing new challenges, and universities and institutions that play a crucial role in facilitating workplace inclusion.

It’s also an opportunity to honor companies that deserve the “DE&I AWARD” – real-life examples of effective efforts to promote workplace inclusion for people with disabilities and those in protected categories – confirming Diversity Day as a key event on the Italian scene.

Throughout the day, candidates will not only have the opportunity to conduct interviews and learn about open positions at participating companies, but they will also have access to a free space dedicated to reviewing their resumes, participating in mock interviews, and receiving job search support.
