Enquirer “to create new knowledge”: a Luiss-P&G Alumni project

The “Give Back” project by P&G Alumni Italia, in partnership with the Guido Carli University and Luiss Business School, aims to promote a managerial culture among students and foster the growth of young talent in the professional world . Thanks to the Luiss “enquiry-based” educational model, the initiative will once again make students the key players and drivers of inspiration and change.

By identifying a phenomenon within one’s field of study and then studying it, delving deeper, and investigating it until it’s solved, individuals can generate new knowledge, much like “budding researchers.” This is the “enquiry-based” learning model that Luiss Guido Carli introduced into its master's degree programs three years ago. Today, it's entering a new phase, opening up even more to engagement with the corporate world.

At the first “Enquirer” meeting on Friday, December 2, about 100 master's degree students will meet with professionals from P&G Alumni Italia. This network includes over 300 former employees and managers who have had notable careers in Italian and international business after training at P&G. P&G is a multinational consumer goods company now operating in 80 countries, with one of the largest portfolios of quality brands, including Dash, Gillette, Braun, Venus, Pantene Pro-V, Head & Shoulders, Swiffer, ViaKal, Fairy, Oral-B, Vicks, and Olay.

The initiative will allow these young people to better understand business dynamics. P&G Alumni will personally assess the soft and hard skills that the inquiry-based model has developed in project participants, with a particular focus on critical and creative thinking, adaptability, teamwork skills, leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to analyze and interpret data.

Students will present their projects to the P&G Alumni on various topics: “Consumer Behavior and Research Methodology for Marketing” (by students in the Marketing degree program); “Data Visualization” (by students enrolled in “Data Science and Management”); and “Global Organization Design and Management” (by the young talents in “Global Management & Politics”). The “P&G Alumni Innovation Award” will also be presented to the best projects from students enrolled in the “Advanced Marketing Management” course within the “Management” degree program. These projects were developed over the semester in collaboration with managers from the P&G Alumni network.

The Luiss Master’s degree programs for the 2023–2024 academic year, with their strong international focus, will then be presented during the Orientation Day on Saturday, December 3, starting at 11:00 a.m.
