The Future Talent Summit is coming to Luiss

Over fifty guests—including top managers, academics, and experts from around the world—are gathering today and tomorrow at Luiss for the Future Talent Summit, which is being held for the first time in Rome on the campus of the university named after Guido Carli.

Two days of meetings and discussions to take stock of the skills revolution that is reshaping the job market. On the one hand, there are the opportunities presented by the Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence, which, according to the International Monetary Fund, will impact 60% of jobs in advanced economies. On the other hand, there’s sustainability, which is now key to attracting and retaining young candidates who are increasingly sensitive to a corporate culture that is inclusive and respectful of diversity and the environment.

The event is organized by the Future Talent Council, a global think tank dedicated to reimagining the future of work and education. It represents a significant opportunity to “create a system,” pooling diverse expertise and skills to provide a compass for navigating a fragmented and ever-changing geoeconomic landscape.

As the Rector of Luiss, Andrea Prencipe, points out, “One of the challenges for higher education is to adopt an increasingly open perspective toward businesses, promoting interdisciplinary and innovative educational models that prepare young people for an evolving world of work and ensure a smooth transition between their academic journey and their professional career. This goal can only be achieved by fostering meaningful connections and collaboration among universities, companies, and institutions. That’s why events like the Future Talent Summit are more crucial than ever.”

Among the event’s speakers is Engineering’s CEO, Maximo Ibarra, who explains: “New technologies are evolving rapidly, and Artificial Intelligence is poised to have a pervasive impact on the world of work, business, and organizations. Therefore, investing in digital skills is becoming increasingly essential to provide young talent with a toolkit to understand, manage, and anticipate the profound changes underway. But also to accelerate the opportunities that digital can offer in terms of new jobs and greater social inclusiveness. Engineering also pursues these goals by investing in training and through partnerships with universities. Among these is, of course, Luiss, which not only represents excellence in higher education but also serves as a model for humanistic education, increasingly strategic for digital development. The Future Talent Summit is a great opportunity for companies and academia to connect, accelerating the country’s digital transformation and sustainable development. ”
