Luiss and the University of Dubai join forces to strengthen international relations
Today, Tuesday, December 13, Luiss Guido Carli will turn its focus to the Middle East by signing the Memorandum Of Understanding And Student Exchange Agreement For The Business Schools with the University of Dubai.
The signing ceremony will take place at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates at 2:00 PM. Attendees will include Lorenzo Fanara, the Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates; Giuseppe Finocchiaro, the Italian Consul General in Dubai; Nasser Al Khaja, Head of the Media and General Diplomacy Section; Andrea Prencipe, Rector of Luiss University; Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai; Matteo Caroli, Dean for Internationalization at Luiss Business School S.p.A.; Raffaele Marchetti, Vice-Rector for Internationalization at Luiss University; and Hussain Al-Ahmad, Rector and Head of the Academic Office at the University of Dubai.
The three-year agreement between the University of Dubai, the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, and the Luiss Business School aims to enhance teaching, learning, and internationalization objectives among the signatory partners. Through a collaborative program, they commit to deepening and strengthening their ties based on the principles of equality, reciprocity, and mutual benefit.
The exchange between the universities will involve students, faculty, and researchers. Each institution will accept students from their respective MBA programs, and exchanges between professors from the campuses will be encouraged, as will the sharing of academic materials.
For Luiss, this marks another step in developing and strengthening its presence in the United Arab Emirates, a strategically important global hub.
The University named after Guido Carli thus aims to expand its involvement in the Gulf region, following its presence in the Italian Pavilion at Expo2020 and the establishment of the Dubai ALL Chapter of the Alumni Association, the “common home” for the university’s graduates and specialists with locations around the world.
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with the United Arab Emirates and with a prestigious academic institution like the University of Dubai,” said Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe. “The Memorandum of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreement for the Business Schools not only aligns with our university’s strong international focus, which currently includes over 315 partner universities in 64 countries, but also serves as a catalyst for the future, providing young people and the next generation of global leaders with educational and professional experiences that will expand their intercultural skills.”
