Luiss and WPP team up again in a partnership
aimed at emerging talent in communication and advertising
The collaboration between Luiss Guido Carli University and WPP, a leading creative transformation company in the communications and advertising sector with 107,000 professionals in 112 countries worldwide, is strengthened through an innovative project aimed at students in the English-language Master’s program in Management.
The partnership with WPP, whose mission is to combine integrated marketing and communication solutions to create better outcomes for people, customers, and communities, has now become an integral part of the Advanced Marketing Management course taught by Professor Marco Mazzù. He employs a disruptive teaching method that directly applies theory to real-world case studies.
Specifically, through a strong interplay between theoretical lessons and hands-on marketing solutions, students are engaged in identifying a company’s business issue and market objectives by applying various concepts to their own brand. Right from the start, course participants are involved in managing and planning promotional content and communication activities for the social media account: LuissFutureMakers. Using a “test and learn” approach and analyzing communication strategies, students assess the impact of their posts alongside managers from WPP, a leader in branded marketing.
This model aligns well with the University’s educational approach, which aims to increasingly involve the business community in co-designing educational programs. The goal is to rethink educational approaches, introducing students to the world of work from the very start.
Thanks to this agreement, the Luiss-WPP partnership, which began last summer with the Summer University “Applied Brand and Product Management” – one of the summer courses also open to students from other universities and international students – now extends to the Advanced Marketing Management course within the Master’s Degree in Management.
