Luiss with Bancomat: scholarships to train young talent in digital and ecological transition processes

Thanks to an agreement with Bancomat S.p.A., the leading player in Italy’s debit card payment market, Luiss Guido Carli University has awarded five scholarships for the master’s degree program in “Law, Digital Innovation, and Sustainability for the 2021/22 academic year.

Born from the idea of creating a two-year specialization program focused on the study of digital and ecological transition processes, the course offers the opportunity to gain experience through “Research and Innovation” projects and operations in close collaboration with companies and institutions.

The teaching model is, in fact, “job on the training,” which engages students in real projects, encouraging them to develop solutions and work as a team to tackle the new challenges facing global society.

The agreement with Bancomat is part of our university’s strategy to innovate teaching. It aims to develop an approach that also focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing concrete projects through flexible educational programs tailored to the needs of a constantly evolving job market,” says Andrea Prencipe, Rector of Luiss Guido Carli University. “Investing in scholarships for students in the ‘Law, Digital Innovation, and Sustainability’ program,” he adds, “is tangible proof of the focus that leading companies like Bancomat place on talented young people. They recognize the need to invest in an educational model that prepares the next generation for the job opportunities that the ecological and digital transition will bring.”

It's a great pleasure to present this initiative together with Luiss,” says Alessandro Zollo, CEO and General Manager of Bancomat. “In recent years, significant strides have been made toward digitizing the country, and Bancomat has played a leading and guiding role. We are committed to providing our talented students with the right tools to enter the workforce, equipped with the skills that are essential in today's market. This course, in line with the Luiss system that integrates study and work, is a key driver in training and preparing the next generation for the global challenges ahead. That's why we've decided to play an active role, with me leading the way by contributing my academic experience. I believe we can't talk about the ecological and digital transition or the country's revitalization without involving our future leadership, the top-tier schools and universities that will shape it, and us as companies. We should be the first to support young students' talent by offering added value and real-world experience.”

For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Guido Carli University has allocated approximately 1,000 scholarships in total for its enrolled students.

Luiss offers full or partial exemptions and financial aid to students in certain categories, including graduation awards, grants for international mobility (dual degrees, Erasmus, theses abroad, etc.), and reduced housing fees for students who meet specific financial requirements.
