The Luiss Board of Directors has appointed Enzo Moavero Milanesi as Advisor to the President for EU Relations, Antonio Nuzzo as Director of the School of Law, and has reappointed Paolo Boccardelli as Director of the Luiss Business School.

Today, the Luiss Board of Directors appointed Professor Enzo Moavero Milanesi – former Minister of European Affairs and then Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – as Advisor to the President for Relations with the European Union. This decision recognizes the central role that EU policies play in academia, especially given the commitments and funds provided by Next Generation EU.

The University’s board, chaired by Vincenzo Boccia, has also appointed Professor Antonio Nuzzo as Director of the Luiss School of Law, the graduate school of the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, established to offer top-tier courses in law, EU affairs, and European studies.

Previously, from 2015 to the present, this prestigious institution was led by Professor Moavero Milanesi, who served as its founder and Director. Under his leadership, the School quickly became an authoritative and significant point of reference in the field of legal studies, both in Italy and internationally. The appointment of the new Director represents a prestigious continuation of leadership. Professor Nuzzo brings extensive academic experience to Luiss, where he is currently a Full Professor of Comparative Private Law, having served as the Director of the Department of Law until the 2019-2020 academic year.

Finally, the University’s Board of Directors confirmed Professor Paolo Boccardelli, Full Professor of Business Strategy, as the head of the Luiss Business School. During his tenure, the school earned the international EQUIS and AMBA accreditations and climbed the global rankings for postgraduate management education. Over the past three years, the School became the first in Italy to acquire the Amsterdam Fashion Academy and opened two hubs in Milan and Belluno.

“I extend my sincere thanks to Professor Moavero Milanesi, who will support me in developing relations with the European Union, for his commitment and hard work at the helm of the School of Law. Over the years, the School has consistently provided its students with an excellent education that captures innovations and new trends in law,” said University President Vincenzo Boccia. He continued, “I wish Professor Nuzzo every success in his new role. With his two decades of experience, I am confident he will effectively lead the School in training highly specialized lawyers to serve Italian and international companies and institutions.” I take this opportunity to congratulate Professor Boccardelli on his reappointment as Dean of the Luiss Business School and on the significant achievements he has made over the past few years.”
